An added benefit of green tea? It is a caffeinated beverage, helping to give you an extra boost of energy when you need it. Green tea has less caffeine than coffee, so it can help to increase energy without as much of an energy drop as it wears off.

Try buying organic loose-leaf green tea or green tea bags rather than more processed and sugar-laden bottled or canned options. If you find that you don’t love the taste of green tea, try loose-leaf tea or tea bags that have green tea in combination with things like fruit or peppermint to mask the taste. Additionally, you can add some monk fruit sweetener or local honey to add some natural sweetness to it.
An even more powerful option when it comes to health benefits is matcha green tea. Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder that you mix with water or milk to create a matcha tea latte. Because you are consuming the whole leaf rather than just steeping it, you will obtain even greater detoxification benefits.
